When you buy a Webb product, you know you’ve got the most durable material handling system manufactured. We want to make sure that your equipment is always running at the peak performance you’ve come to expect. That’s why we’ve created WebbCheck.
WebbCheck is preventative maintenance, an annual physical for the conveyor, AGV or AS/RS systems that keep your company moving. While we’re always there for you in an emergency, the WebbCheck program was created to foresee problems before they happen, eliminating unnecessary downtown and unexpected losses.
Depending on your needs, we can customize your WebbCheck to include any or all of the following services:
System Evaluation – Our team of experienced engineers evaluate the general condition and operation of the mechanical components of your system, providing you a detailed report with recommendations that will extend the life of your equipment.
Conveyor Strain Gauge Analysis – Chain tension is the linear stress on the conveyor chain that causes wear on the components. It’s important to have that tension tested annually during actual production. The values we find indicate ways we can adjust the tension to maximize the life of your system.
Chain Wear and Growth Analysis – Over time and through wear, a chain naturally stretches. Our chain wear monitor along with a visual inspection will indicate problem areas before they interfere with production.
Drive Chain Pull Analysis – We know that not every carrier that moves through your system is the same weight and size, so to get an accurate analysis, we install a force sensor on your conveyor drive, which collects data over an extended period of time. Our study will reveal the minimum, maximum and average chain pull your drive experiences, helping us to identify difficulties that could arise down the road.
Computer Chain Pull Analysis – Whether we’re designing a new system for you or helping you to maintain your current system, this computer generated engineering analysis will tell us how your material handling system’s design parameters are working with the actual load you’re moving. It will determine:
Conveyor chain size
Number, location and size of drive(s)
Force required at the take-up
By scheduling an annual WebbCheck, you can rest assured that your material handling system is in the hands of the engineers that know it best. And just like our products, our engineering teams are there to make sure your business is operating 24/7.
